Common questions

Is Continuum a bank?

No. Continuum is an aggregation and automation platform. We connect to your existing bank accounts through Plaid to give you a unified view. We never hold or directly move your money — rules orchestrate transfers between your connected accounts.

How does Continuum access my accounts?

Through Plaid, the same infrastructure behind Venmo, Robinhood, and thousands of other apps. Your bank credentials go directly to Plaid — we never see them. We get read-only access to balances and transactions.

What can the automation rules actually do?

Rules respond to five triggers (schedule, balance threshold, transaction events, market events, manual) and run three action types (atomic transfers, percentage allocations across accounts, notifications). Every run is logged with a full audit trail.

How does the AI advisor work?

The advisor is grounded in your real financial data — transactions, cash flow, subscriptions, budgets, goals, net worth. It uses this context (never shared with other users) to answer questions and generate monthly recaps. Your data is never used to train models.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Data is encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). Passwords use bcrypt, and the app supports passkeys and 2FA. Every API call is authenticated and scoped to your household.

How much does it cost?

Continuum is in early access by invite only. Early access is free. Pricing will be announced before general availability — early users will receive special terms.
